Former UNT AD Staff Member Applies for La. Tech AD job

Louisiana Tech received three official applications for its vacant athletic director position as of Wednesday evening, according to information obtained through a public records request.

Applicants include Jason Bullock, president of JPS Aviation; Brad Pietz, assistant director of the Arkansas State University Convocation Center; and Stan Williamson, athletic director at West Alabama.

Tech president Les Guice said this past week that he wanted to hire an athletics director within “two to three weeks.” Tech spokesman Dave Guerin said Thursday that time line is still expected to be followed.

Brad Pietz handles marketing at the convocation center after serving as Arkansas State’s assistant athletic director of development (2007-12), which included fundraising duties.His background includes Southern Illinois University (director of ticket operations), the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City (box office supervisor) and University of North Texas (ticket manager).
