Apparently you don't know that wall in Berlin is history.

Let's face it, after the hilarity that forevereagle pointed out, I think this thread is done.

Umm...what?

Some people can't handle their liquor.

Well...forevereagle...ever use an I-Pad that wants to correct stuff you do not want corrected? Typing too fast to check what it wants to do ...sorry...bummer!

LongJim...perhaps so...good beer here in Costa Rica where Imperial seems to be king! Trying hard to make certain I drink enough to become an expert on Costa Rican beer...especially after the zip line adventure over the top of the rain forest and those class 4 rapids during the raft bit! Beer is needed after that and very much enjoyed in copious quantities! :-)

Dadgum you, Mark. Leave it to you to be posting from Costa Rica while we non-jetsetters toil in the salt mines. Hope you're having a great vacation.

Yes--beer in large, cold amounts is good stuff. :thumbsu:

Some more "insight" into the debate about Brazil. I attended a meeting this morning concerning my company's presence in Brazil (market/challenges/etc.) which included a nice presentation from our lead manager there. He was recapping the economy of Brazil at a high level and hit on the point that 26% lives below the poverty line. Although the country has come a long way in the past 10years (and tremendously in the past 20+) they are still "a third-world country". His words as a Brazilian.

Understanding our business there, one can see that outside of Sao Paulo the rest of the country is underdevloped. I think in 10 more years it won't be considered as such.

And LongJim, if cold is a requirement for your beer you are drinking the wrong kind.

Big country, though.

Per capita, Brazil is 33rd in murder rate (Honduras, El Salvador, Ivory Coast "top" three)

Where have you been? Have missed your posts. Welcome back...this GMG.Com thing needs you! :-)

Oh, life happens sometimes.... But I'm always lurking! Glad you enjoyed Costa Rica.... Spent a chunk of last summer there... Amazing place, and to my knowledge no referee beheadings as of late...

Oh, we'll see about that referee thing the next time they play the US. Interesting thing is that we talked about the snow game in Denver to lots of different Costa Rican folks while "in country" recently. To a person they were very diplomatic about it, but you could just sense that they are more than a little ready for the rematch in San Jose.

In another soccer note...the young co-pilot on a local Costa Airline we flew (Nature Air) had played in Dallas at the Dallas Cup tournament when he was sixteen years old. He absolutely loved the experience! Way cool. Made our day talking soccer with a guy who AD played in the same tournament our son's team had played in a few years ago.
