Make sure and read the comments section I found some good stuff in there:

A (pretty good) quarterback from my high school is actually going to be on your team this year. His name is Dajon Williams. My high school's offense was pretty prolific under him. He wanted to be recruited by big name schools like Baylor and Texas, but he went overlooked. So he should have a chip on his shoulder. Could he be the one who leads y'all to glory? We'll see. He actually has a chance to play Texas and exact his revenge in 2014, if he's the starter by then.

How nice to see a well researched article on our history and traditions. We have such a rich heritage here at UNT. It is time to bolster and re-enforce that heritage and stop letting it slip away from us. More about that later.

It was really a great write-up, and is generating so many good feelings in the comment thread that I couldn't even bring myself to take the required pot-shot at SMU. Rarely am I left quite so speechless.

A kid wanted to be recruited? I'll be derned, we have a diamond in the rough!

Great write up. I just read the whole thing including comments. Once I started, I couldn't stop.

Side note: I still have the k-State game on the DVR and watch it from time to time. When broadcasted locally, we missed the first couple series due to the SMU aTm game going long. The article has a link to the first half of that game from the beginning. Great to watch the game starting with NT holding the Wildcats to a 3 and out.

Hey, Jamario should've gone to a power conference school but they pulled his offers (I forget where) when they found out about his dyslexia. Then he blew everybody away as a Mean Green running back, and when they sniffed around he didn't want anything to do with them. Whatever the reasons for Dajon being ignored, I hope he does the same...come in wanting to fight off the big boys and show them what they're missing, and when they come a-calling, then THEY get rejected. Sounds like a teen romance, almost...

...back to the topic at hand...any chance we could have Walker be our "man on the scene" contributor for some other well-known (and widely read) sites? That'd be tough to pull off but rather awesome if it happened.

Christopher...VERY well done, Sir. This took time and talent and you used both very wisely. Appreciate what you have done, and I do think it is something the Mean Green Nation can all be proud of when others take a look. Great job!

Bravo! :goodjob: Great job, CW !

I never-ever get tired reading about my college alma mater--I really don't.

We have one heckuva' interesting most diverse school that has had more than its share of

very interesting people who count themselves as graduates of UNT; in fact, many of whom are on

this very forum.

GMG!

There are several incorrect facts concerning Boomer, The Model A Mean Green Machine, the Spirit Bell, and the Mean Green Battle Flag, but overall I applaud the effort on just about everything else.

Good job!

Really? 'Cause I pulled their info from various spirit pages but most from the Traditions page of UNT...
