I just saw that the NBA summer league game will be on NBA TV at 4pm Sunday. The Detroit Pistons will play, so you might be able to see Tony in action.

How does the signing of the ATL guy Josh Smith Impact Tony getting PT when the season starts.

It's hard to follow the pistons when they have mis-manged the team so bad since 2005 and NBA is my least favorite pro sport.

Hope Tony can show why he should of been a lottery pick.

Not sure this is enough to work his way up with Drummond, Monroe, Smith, Villeneuve, Jerbeko standing in front of him.

It's one game, Andrew, stop salivating.

Rebounds are where Tony is going to have rest his hope of playing time with the Pistons. He is going to have to learn he can't block everything at this level and stay on the floor sometimes.

8 rebounds in 2 quarters of play will get him noticed. Unfortunately, so will the foul trouble in the sane period of time.

First game getting used to NBA speed, etc. Looked good all things considered.

Tony is very challenged to stay focused. He is spending excessive time on the flat part of his foot while waiting for the ball to bounce his way. If that does not change his opportunity will be brief.

7 pts, 6 rebs, 2 blks and he's been in the NBA for like a week? I think that's a decent start.

This is summer league ball, it's like comparing the SWAC to the ACC. Most of the players playing wont ever see the floor in a real game.

The Detroit Pistons blog on SBNation was really high on him today.

Other noteworthy performances.

Tony Mitchell - Concerns about his lack of motor seem unfounded thus far. Mitchell was up for every rebound and contesting every shot. His stats weren't terribly glamorous, but he still grabbed 6 boards to go with 7 points, all without missing a shot. He was playing alongside Drummond for much of the game, and the Nets were absolutely stifled during that time. An auspicious debut.

Meaningless game, but watching dre and Mitchell defend the paint was as much fun as I've ever had watching a summer league game. Felt like piston basketball.

Lotta good stuff came out of this game. Middleton moving better, putting the ball on the floor, and wanting the last shot. Siva's scrappy play. Mitchell's athleticism. And Drum's dominance. I even liked the hack-a-drum. Good practice.

And comparing the talent in the NBA summer league to last year's Sun Belt is like comparing the ACC to high school ball.

So, what was your point again?
