FIVE PLAYERS PICKED TOO LOW

37. Tony Mitchell: The Pistons managed to get a lottery talent outside of the top 35, which is always nice. Who knows if Mitchell will tap into his potential? But if he does, watch out. This is a prospect with lots of natural ability, one who was undeniably worth a flyer at this point in the draft.

They should be. They got a lottery talent in the 2nd round.

Keep in mind the ESPN announcers said last night that only 30% of the players selected in the 2nd round ever make a NBA roster.

Keep in mind that the players drafted in the bottom half of the 2nd drag that statistic way down. I am quite confident that Tony will be on an NBA roster, and I strongly suspect it will be the Pistons'.

Yep, and quite possibly as a starter.

Summer leagues should tell us more about what we can expect from Tony.

Detroit's first game: July 7th in the Orlando league.

Insert really good Bart Scott impersonation.

Good luck to TM. Here's hoping you make it big in Detroit and they very soon regret not being able to sign you to a guaranteed multi-year contract. Play big so you can get the heck out of Detroit. I hope the situation very quickly turns in your favor...contract-wise.
