UTEP has a special academic mission and therefore their rankings are skewed. Surprised that NMSU and UNM are not on there anymore...

What exactly is this special academic mission? Accept illiterate students?

People I know who went there are disgusted by what has happened to their school. One of my friends, who was a professor there, said they are an academic joke. He left for another university because he wanted a future in academics. Shoot, my father loved UTEP as an alumni and said I wasn't going there under any circumstance.

I would like to see is the .02 mouth breathers that didn't get in. I am sure their stellar President Diana will get them to 100% before she retires.

Where is Troy?

Troy is not on the list because they have an acceptance rate of 62.29% which is lower than north Texas which is 63.98%.....which is higher than UH at 63.56%

I hear that if you fail out of NT Houston is pretty easy to get into.

Why you so mad bro? It's sad that you have had many sleepless nights after I shut you down during our last encounter. You don't interest me at the moment.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some postworkout meatloaf to get back to.

I have no interest in bashing Troy, but I will point out that comparing acceptance rates among disparate universities is all but meaningless. It is much more revealing to examine institutions with a similar profile. For instance, UNT, UH, TT, and UTA are all large state universities of a roughly similar size. Also, they are all classified as national universities and major research institutions. And when comparing their acceptance rates it's no accident that they are all pretty close there. UH and UNT are virtually tied, TT a close third, and UTA just a few points behind them. In other words, we're all doing fine.
