Roster Update

I was going through the updated roster on the Mean Green Sports website in order to match my spreadsheet with the official roster. There were about a dozen less names than were on my spreadsheet. Most were late walkons that did not unseat squad members. However, a couple of the missing names were scholarship players. Center Boone Feldt, one of our most heralded recruits, was no longer shown to be on the roster; as was Xavier Kelly, a defensive back.

We knew that Boone had problems with frequent concussions and was undergoing treatment for the problem. I don't know if his removal from the roster indicates that he has given up football for good or just taking a year's sabbatical. Kelly, a 3-star recruit, was more of a surprise. Just a guess on my part but I expect to see that he has transferred.

Interesting info. Sorry to hear about Boone. He really gave it his all in the spring. Kelley was a good athlete but undersized... The plethora of defensive back additions seemed to indicate he wasn't fitting in to what they wanted to do.
