Arbuckle, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound quarterback from Canadian, Texas, made an unofficial visit to Colorado State University over the weekend. He didn’t participate in the team camp that was being held simultaneously but did throw for CSU coaches at the Indoor Practice Facility and left his mark.

“Oh, it went really well. I’m the first quarterback they’ve looked at so far this summer, in terms of coming in. They said they’d have five more, maybe, come in,” Arbuckle said. “They told me that I set the standard pretty high out there. I threw the ball dang good.”

CSU was Arbuckle’s third unofficial visit of the summer, already making trips to Oklahoma State and North Texas with plans to check out University of Texas-San Antonio on Thursday, followed by Texas Tech the next week. No one has offered him a scholarship. Arbuckle said each campus he’s visited says the same thing, coaches are going to wait until the end of the summer before offering quarterbacks, evaluating everyone they’ve seen in person.

Arbuckle is listed as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. He hasn’t been evaluated by Rivals or Scout.
