I made a swing through the Super Pit this morning and picked up a couple of tidbits.

First off, I had a chance to talk to Collin Voss for a minute or two as he was settling in.

Voss was a Division I recruit as a tight end and certainly looks the part. For those of you who have been around awhile, he reminds me a little of Randy Gardner, one of the really good tight ends from the bowl era in terms of his size.

UNT is hoping that Voss will be able to help fill the void (and lets be honest, this is going to be a multi-person job) left by the departure of Tony Mitchell to the NBA and the graduation of Roger Franklin.

I hope Vito's eyeballs are a little off, being Gardner was 6'4 and our possible 6'10 center being described as a skinny version of Odufuwa a 6'8 player.

Kinda what I was thinking. Just strictly going by video , Gaines certainly seems taller than 6'8

Unless they are on the court playing against D1 college players, the "eyeball" test doesn't mean a thing (unless you notice a player listed at 6'10" is actually 6 6").
