ESPN lists him at CB, 24/7 lists him at WR, CB. An article there describes him as a "two-way standout." This article describes him as a CB....unfortunately, it also describes him as gone to Lubbock if they offer.

Ah. He wears 21, so I'm guessing he likes Deion. DB it is. And that article was written after Vertrail committed here, so yeah, he'll probably go to Lubbock.

Vaughns spoke with scout.com and stated his final 2 were Arkansas State and Nevada and he chose Arkansas State because they are going to give him a shot at playing both ways.

In February of 2012 the top corner at Rivals Alabama combine signed with Arkansas State. He only played defense in one game (GoDaddy Bowl) but he played a bit on offense including a 19 yard TD run against UNT and a 57 yard TD rush against ULL on ESPN.

If you play defense and have breakaway speed, you can find yourself on the offensive side of the ball at least part-time.
