Western Kentucky rumor
Posted by The DirtKing on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 9:12pm.

Multiple sources have told me that Western Kentucky will hire Louisiana Lafayette assistant Shawn Forest as an assistant. Forest spent just one season on Bob Marlin's staff at UL. He has also been an assistant at North Texas, Arkansas State, Florida A&M, and Troy. He would replace Phil Cunningham who became the head coach at Troy in March. The official announcement is expected this week.

Good for him. I'm glad he managed to keep his career on track

He could do some amazing things at Western. In a year or two, he might finally get his shot at a head coaching job. Harper did, and obviously the assistant Forrest is replacing did, too.

It's scary to think about Forrest recruiting the Metroplex for a program like that (which didn't really have much trouble pulling talent from here anyway).

My thoughts exactly.

Well, at least his recruiting the metroplex won't affect us nowadays.
