Emmett Earle new UNT basketball assistant

North Crowley assistant basketball coach Donny Ott was named the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches' Class 5A Assistant Coach of the Year and Emmett Earle was named the Student Assistant of the Year.

Brakel also had high praise for his senior student manager.

"In 15 years at North Crowley, I have had a bunch of quality student assistants, but have never felt such an obligation to sit down and write a nomination for this award," Brakel said. "Emmett is a great student, a great student socially, a great young man, and was a great student assistant."

Earle is on the A/B Honor Roll, nominated as Senior of the Year by his peers, active in his church and community and he will be attending UNT as a basketball student assistant, Brakel said.
