Saw the post on Lb Sed Ellis and wanted add to it.

To make it to the state track meet, especially in Texas where there is a lot of competiton, it is a great feat. People get caught up with the recruiting sites and star rankings, but this shows that UNT is getting some great athletes that love to compete.

As a previous post stated, Sed Ellis made it in the 4x200 and open 200 in the 3A meet.

John Schilleci will also compete in 4A. His Denton guyer team made it in the 4x200 relay also. Schilleci also ran a 10.5 open 100 in track this year. No wind.

Darvin kidsey made it in 5A in the high jump. His best is 6'9 This year. He also made it to regionals on the 4x4 and ran a 49 1st leg.

Last but not least is Chad Davis who made it in 5A and competed against kidsey in fort bend. Davis is on the 4x1, 4x2, and 4x4 for bush and they are one of the favorites to win the state meet with all relays qualifying. All the relays are nationally ranked. Davis has split 9.8 in the 4x1, 20.4 4x2, and a 47.9 4x4.

I look forward to seeing all these 2013 recruits compete this weekend in Austin.

I am right next door to Paris High, and I can tell you Sed Ellis is a dang beast. It would be nice to get a pipeline going from Paris high, they are loaded! I still havent figured out why UNT hasnt contacted our QB here at Honey Grove. UNM was here last week and is very interested in him.

How's his recovery going?

It was good. He was ready for Spring but they decided to hold him out and see what the young guys could do. He went through individual drills and seperate work outs but didn't participate in any scrimages.

Good! Saying we're going to need him is an understatement of rather generous proportions.
