Is this "grant of rights" a new thing? I mean, I follow the logistics/legalese/contractual idea surrounding the whole thing, but I don't think I've ever heard of anything like the specifics they placed in the agreement, so it seems like an enhancement of what I already held true about other conferences with their TV rights and such. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention before if that was already the case in other conference agreements, but I'm still curious to know whether or not it is a new concept.
