UNT to host NCAA selection party for tennis team

The UNT tennis team will host a NCAA selection show party for its players, coaches and supporters next Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the club level of Apogee Stadium.

Men's Selection Show will be at 4:00 and Women Show at 4:30.

Will be interesting to see where the ladies go this year. Think they are too strong to head to College Station, think that will be either Southern U, or the Southland Champion, especially if not SELA.

UT, Tech, TCU are all down. Rice could be a host depending on how rankings look today and the results of the Big 12 tournament this week.

How were the final ranking & where to you think we go ?

ITA for some reason not releasing rankings until Thursday after selections, which is odd considering Top 16 typically host. Team probably sitting around #55, which should give them a #3 seed but will be tight.

Honestly not sure where the team goes. Only TX A&M will be a host in Texas. UT/Baylor/Tech all fall around 20 or so.

I just do not see the team heading to A&M, maybe go to Lincoln with Nebraska as the host.

If a 4 seed not sure where they go. A&M would probably have NW State, who won the Southland.

So long and short of it is I have no clue right now. Tech had a good chance to host if they had won the Big 12 Tourney, Rice could sneak in as a host after winning CUSA and sitting at #20.

4:30 today will be fun to follow.

I guess there is an ok chance in the first round... getting past A&M and the second round would take a minor miracle though.

would have been awesome to sweet spots with Ole Miss and head to Lubbock. Duke only has 5 players due to suspensions and injuries, so would have a good shot of winning and then playing TX Tech, but not to be

I was lucky enough to get to attend the selection event at Apogee this afternoon. Pretty cool. Very first NCAA selection show I have ever gotten to attend in person. Great to see the excitement and the number of folks in the room.

Go UNT...beat TCU!
