Inside and Outside Superpit Scoreboards Going Up

DENTON, Texas - Work on the new display boards inside and outside the Super Pit has begun, and the message board outside the Pit is operational.

Daktronics is installing the state-of-the-art boards, which include the much anticipated center-hung scoreboard inside the Super Pit. Crates littered the floor of the Pit Wednesday afternoon, and massive cables, blocks, and wire bundles dangled from the ceiling. Installation is expected to take approximately three weeks.

Meanwhile, the new message board outside the Pit on North Texas Boulevard was up and running while final installation and adjustments were taking place.

that's how I feel now that we are updating the Pit

I'm really surprised we're spending all this money on updating the Pit for the 2000 spectators that'll show up to games in the future. With a stadium, it usually has a direct impact on school prestige, etc...but B-ball arena? Not so much. Definitely need better lighting, at least. That should be more important than the board, IMO. Too damn dark.
