Assuming Carrington qualifies (big assumption), we will still have 2 'ships left.

Sure has been quiet.

Might there be a basketball recruit or 2 at the Spring game? For those that will be there, keep your eyes open.

I'm sort of expecting Benford to surprise some people with these last additions. His strength has always been recruiting and I think there are still some quality players to be found out there.

But he's never had to recruit from the position of disastrously terrible head coach... thats gotta throw a monkey wrench in your sales pitch.

Kilgore PG Lonnie McClanahan will be visiting this weekend

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Lonnie-McClanahan-144993

Averaged 12.4 ppg 3.8 assist

No offers from anyone...

Not on the JUCO top 100 list:

http://www.jucorecruiting.com/2013-juco-top-100-player-rankings/

A list that includes commitments to Albany, Eastern Michigan, Cal. St. Northridge, western Illinois, Iona, Ohio, among others.

Don't know if this kid can play, but definitely not the level of recruit we have been after before this season.

This article indicates he did receive the all american honorable mention distinction.

Very good info. I stand corrected. Was looking for the 1st name of Lonnie, which is his Moddle name. Seems to be a good player, although 28% from 3 is very scary.

Still wonder about the lack of offers.

I think his performance in the tournament led to a lot of late interest. I wouldn't pay too much attention to his offer list, many of the recruiting gurus are focused on next years crop. He clearly has some other options but would not be a high major type of addition radar wise because he came on so late in the game.

Interesting that there is some twitter interaction between Lonnie and current UNT cornerback James Jones. Jones transferred from Kilgore where Lonnie plays.
