Saw that on ESPN. Brought a tear to my eyes. Nothing short of awesome.

I was putting my 1-year-old baby down for a nap and stopped to watch that with him. He probably didn't know why I was tearing up, but when I grabbed and hugged him he put his arms around my neck and laid his head on my shoulder.

Sports certainly aren't the most important thing in the world, but when the time is right, they can add that little bit of flair to the signature of our humanity.

May those of us with good health among those we love hope for the best for that little boy, lest we ever face similar circumstances.

My respect for Nebraska has increased tremendously today.
