Finance Professor Steve Cole

I don't know if any of you ever had him as a professor, but he died this past weekend in a car wreck.

I know he had been at the school for a while and I believe was a pretty big supporter of athletics

Sigh....that's really too bad. Nice guy and I remember him well as he taught financial institutions. He'd been with UNT a good long while as I graduated way back in '92.

Always saw him at the football games....going back years. Some road games as well.

THIS IS HORRIBLE NEWS! I had not heard this. Dr. Cole was a great guy and a big time supporter of UNT athletics. He even "encouraged" his students and at times would "incent" his students to go to athletic events. Excellent professor and was still teaching some very lucky students.

He had a couple of health issues, and I wonder if those may have played a role in this terrible accident?

I will miss Dr. Cole...One of the "good guys" and one who will definitely be missed!

Go with God, Dr. Cole....may God grant you and your family peace.

I had him for finance in grad school, and we shared a lot of laughs in the classroom and at the games. He was at every game up in the club level. One of my favorite guys from UNT all around. This is a bummer.

Not even a decade after graduation and I've already lost a couple professors from my finance department. I couldn't believe it when I heard the news about Dr. Roden and this is just as tragic.

Someone needs to keep a close watch on Mazahar Siddiqi, Niranjan Tripathy, Shadazar Palkar, and Hicham Benjeloum to ensure their safety.
