I think I can speak for everybody here when I say thank you for your time with the Mean Green. Although it may not have ended like we all would have hoped, you have many great days ahead of you and we can't wait to watch. We wish you all the best and Go Mean Green.

Been a fun two years watching T-Mich. If he does in fact fall low in the draft hopefully he winds up with one of the Texas teams (please Spurs, please Spurs, please Spurs).

Pops would be a good coach for him and Tim Duncan would be a great mentor.

If this is the end, I'm sorry it didn't finish the way we all hoped. You were the reason I bought season tickets to basketball. Good luck and remember us fondly.

I was in Hot Springs, so I never posted a goodbye thread to the seniors after our last loss. Obviously, this ileaves another huge void in the program. I hope Tony goes to a team that has a chance at contending and we can see what he can do.

Good luck, Tony. Hope you have a great career. The Mean Green Nation thanks you and will be wishing you nothing but the best going forward.

Best of luck to Tony, I hope the success and dollars flow to him.

I also hope that he is the only one NT loses from this team.

I do question why in the world NT is having a press conference to announce a player leaving the program, especially if it already known.

The press conference is ridiculous. Why hold a presser for something that is basically a bad reminder of what could have been. Dumb idea IMO, but BOL to Mr. Mitchell regardless. Hope things work out for you as originally planned, and don't forget about us guys and gals in Denton. You are one of us forever.

I really hope we have another Tony Mitchell type talent before I die (I'm 27)

It’s interesting because from what I understand he was the highest ranked recruit that Missouri ever had in the history of their basketball program. If this is true then regardless of what kind success the program may have in the future, there is a good chance that we will never see a player as talented as him again.

Because we haven't had a player considered to be even a possible 1st rounder since... since... Kenny Lyons?

The AD would not be doing their job if there wasn't a press conference for this announcement.

Good luck, Tony. I have no doubt your next coach will be able to put you in a position to succeed.

The reason they're having this presser for him is because he deserves it. He's one of the best things that's ever happened to UNT basketball.

Real shame he was foiled by the worst thing to ever happen to UNT basketball.

Be careful, CBL. That is a very negative post regarding the University of North Texas. That is just not acceptable to some people on here.

There's a time and place for it, and a goodluck thread is not it.

Kids usually have press conferences when they come out early. Not sure why the complaining unless you're just not aware of this practice.

The more likely answer is that I'm just tired of it all. Sometimes you can only take so much salt in a wound.
