Why on earth would you approach the school's "honor court" instead of the police?

That's a serious charge. You don't mess around with a school's "honor court" regarding a rape. You go to police and let a REAL court handle that.

UNC-CH may well be hiding a bunch of things under the rug considering that other people, staff included, have come forward saying that they've been pressured to underreport assault cases like this and the like.

That said, I'd like to think the woman in question should've gone to see police about this since it is a criminal case.
