Coach always had time for his students! I enjoyed his classes very much!

While I didn't know him, he was a friend of some of my family. Not to derail the thread but he saw the danger in hiring Dodge. From all accounts he was a very good man.

A very good man indeed.

I sometimes questioned his actions (eluded to by Gray Eagle), but just loved this man for his kind, inclusive, approachable and unpretentious nature.

He treated me like a big shot when I was giving much less than I do now (I was no big shot then, and am not now).

A real pleasure to work for. He was really solid and he loved North Texas. What a lot of people don't know is that he had a great sense of humor. He did many thankless jobs for North Texas that the average person does not know about.....plus, he never really seemed to have much of an ego...real team player. We will miss you, Fred.
