Again, we are talking about what he would do if he could. That was the premise for this entire conversation and its pretty clear that he would ban firearms completely IF HE COULD.

For sure. And I'm sure he would be sincere in his pleas at the time. Just like Obama. Those tears at his address after the shooting were absolutely genuine. If anyone says he was posturing, I would liken you to the same morons who think that pres. Bush's calm reaction to the 911 news in front of a classroom full of children was part of his 'conspiracy'.

But, after all of the emotion clears, the same dude is still a politician. Dollar signs and continuation of power/prestige are all they are after.
