I know you're being (Jesus I hope so) sarcastic but this is, even for you, a new low. A cop killing bastard is a "far left hero"?

This is why I can comfortably predict yet another Democrat President in the next election. The right has abandoned all hope of a platform and now simply plays to a vocal minority whose only agenda is to attack any/everything that seems to jive with Obama policies...even if it means painting a lunatic as a "far left hero".

Much of the post was indeed sarcastic, but not the part about Dorner having hero status in the far left community. Notice I said far left.

It's well documented. 97 and 03 has already given you several references. The Today show made sure to cover the "several dozen" protesters that were outside LAPD protesting in support of Dornen.

Obviously, we aren't talking all liberals here, but you have to remember that Dorner's manifesto had the liberal love word all over it. Racism.

Doesn't matter to the far left whether the complaint is valid or not. Just making the claim makes you a hero.

Ya, you are so finibacially conservative that you voted for a Persident that grew the national debt at a faster rate than any president in history. Lol.

And when you are ever confronted with said spending, you use the Democrat party line of pointing out that Bush spent money, too.

It's straight outta the democrat playbook. Say your conservative while supporting the democrats.

---I'm not the grammar or spelling police ..but that is worse than bad. ...

It is difficult to stop what is already going... the rapidly increasing debt... it is mostly about what has already been in progress... not increased spending by current administration... The GOP House has passed nothing to help. I don't blame Bush as much as the GOP Congress of that era when they had control of both houses and the WH and let it go crazy..BUT CLAIMED TO BE CONSERVATIVE....REALLY? ). Send our current President something to sign that makes sense [ spending cuts and some increased taxation on those who got the big breaks in 2001 ] .... letting people who make millions per year pay 15% is nuts (includes Romney and his 14%) ... you should be irate unless you make millions each year on Wall Street... but aren't... Yes they have money at risk .. so do people in agriculture and owners of small business..... you are being brainwashed by the Norquest guys who are there to protect the super wealthy. People who are earning high income from going to work everyday are the ones getting screwed.. they often pay over 30%.... double the Romney types.

On a cell phone, but you knew that.

Stopped reading after the usual blame Bush and the republicans 1st sentence.

You can always change habits if you want to, but the current democrat leadership has a socialist agenda to enact and have no desire to curb spending and the republicans are a spineless bunch that have showed time and again that the will fold when the chips are down.

You are about as conservative as Nancy Pelosi.

Romney already paid top taxes on any initial money he earned then he paid an additional tax on the capital gain he made from it. Not sure why people get capital gains tax and federal income tax confused. Two totally different taxes.

Yep, just like emmitt and GreenBat arguing about what was well documented in the news on left leaning stations. Their response? Throw in racism, the Klan and Fox News.

Uhh...racism was first mentioned by UNT90. But hey, you know, I go looking for racism around every corner, right?

What was it that was being said about an agenda?

And you, shockingly, miss the entire point of what I had to say. The Klan or Sovereign Citizens are no more indicative of the right en mass than a small group of loonies with a Facebook account or some free time to stand in front of the LAPD are indicative of the left. You're good for a late arrival to the party so I'll excuse the error...let's not let truth stand in the way of good hyperbole.

Yes, but the Clan's ideas don't get neutral to positive coverage from Fox, much less the today show. Here is a little sample from Time magazine, hardly far left, giving Dorner's manifesto credence:

http://nation.time.com/2013/02/14/after-christopher-dorner-what-next-for-the-lapd/

A simple Internet search can pull up many similar articles in some very mainstream publications. Needless to say, McVeigh's manifesto (if he had written one) would have rightfully been cast as the rumblings of a madman. Dorner's gets reflective articles on his allegations.

But just disregard that Dorner killed 4 innocent people and was clearly off the reservation and just give his lunatic rumblings credence because he said the magic word "racism".

It's just a far left dream. A former cop claiming racism while killing innocent cops (although no cops are innocent to the far left). Cops don't matter to the far left. Never have.

Oh, and LAPD has re-opened the investigation into Dorner's training officer based solsy on Dorner's manifesto and political pressure. So the far left has pressured the PD trying to take down another innocent cop (as found in the first investigation when Dorner was found to be untruthful. Having a sustained untruthfulness complaint pretty much eliminates that officer from ever taking the witness stand in a criminal court of law). So because a murderer of 3(?) innocent cops and 2 innocent, unarmed civilians writes a manifesto, that officer has to go through a purely politically motivated investigation.

If you have ever been through an IAD investigation, especially a politicly motivated one, you know what lies ahead for this officer. If you haven't, well, pray that you never have the experience.

I was going to type a long response for emmitt, but I would assume that he would ignore it like he has ignored the above post, or the comments from Chris Matthews and the comments from the reporter from the Huffington Post that were made on live television.

This whole Dorner thing is a mixed bag of stupidity from so many angles. Okay, sure let's play the game where Dorner was witness to some really scummy things in the LAPD. It doesn't make his actions really justified, especially the murder of the LEO's daughter. Not to mention involving other LEOs who have really nothing to do with whatever his allegations may have been.

And then we have the LAPD itself, who managed to shoot two people in cases of mistaken identity. I'm really interested to see how the LAPD handles those two incidents and how their investigations go because based on what I've read, it sounds like positive identification was never made before shooting started and it would seem that the officers involved were a bit hasty and might have skipped steps in procedure.

No matter what, both sides did nothing to help their cases.

And I didn't even mention how the glorification of this murderer has again raised racial tensions in the black neighborhoods patrolled by LAPD.

Hopefully, no other innocent people lose their lives because far left idiots chose to glorify this man and others in the left did nothing to discourage them.

All the Dorner support reminds me of another group of leftist cult heros for giving it to the MAN, killing a cop and trying to murder many others by bombing U.S. entities....Obama friend, supporter and election bundler Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn of The Weather Underground.

Fine, then re-open the old government owned Springfield Armory. Re-tool it to produce weapons for the needs of law enforcement agencies across the country as well as the military, and let those ass-hole gun company owners lose all that business.

And while we're at it, instead of having a tax free day for people to buy guns, DOUBLE THE SALES TAXES ON THE SALE OF GUNS AND PUT THE EXTRA TAXES IN THE EDUCATION FUND.

I'm not a religious person (not organized anyway), but.....Jesus Christ people.

Riiiight, because throwing money at education and even creating a federal governmental agency dedicated to education has shown such benefits, right? Like taking us from top 10 in the world in education down to, what, somewhere near 50th?

But that doesn't matter, right? Just throw more money at it, right? Maybe because that benefits you personally, right?

No need to arm police officers. Dorner proves they can't be trusted with firearms, anyway. It would be interesting to see the ratio of gun crime committed by current or former officers as related to the entire population of current or former officers. I would bet the percentage would be just about equal to the percentage of gun crime committed by legal gun owners.

Need another example? Google Constable Anthony Lewis.

So lets ban those police officers for having weapons. Only the criminals get to have them in our society, right ?

Since the proposal to give gun buyers a tax free holiday, came from a Plano representative, my suggestion (double the tax on guns) was for the Texas education coffers.

Hmmm, I thought that public education benefited all of us. Are you saying that you regret getting your degree from a public University?

Yeah, seems like a great idea. Maybe we will use it like we use the lottery revenues that are allocated to education.

So you want to tax even more people to benefit education?

And because its gun owners, that makes it A-OK, right? Because they don't think they way you do, right ? And, again, it could personally benefit you, right ?

Wasn't Lotto Texas supposed to fund education for years to come? But no, education lobbies (see:unions) were back at the legislature's doorstep groveling for more, what, less than 2 years in?

How much is enough for you guys? Answer is there is no number that satisfies. Salaries are EXTREMELY bloated at all levels of education, especially for what we are getting in return.

My degree has nothing to do with this conversation, but you know that, right?

Nor does Dorner have anything to do with all cops being rogue, nor does Dylan Klebold have anything to do with citizens at large being dangerous, nor do the FEW Dorner supporters have anything to do with the "left" at large. But you know that, right? Or are you so married to your straw men?

And raving about the misallocation of lottery funds that were intended for education (a promise started under a Republican Governer) or the way that U.S. kids lag behind (a product of "no child left behind" and other such standardized testing failures...which were, again, right wing ideas) isn't the best way to bolster your militant "left wing" conspiracy theories.

I gotta ask, did you get a traffic ticket recently? Did some officer piss you off? Was Be ford a highway patrolman before he coached basketball? Is your hard on for police really fueled by the media attention afforded to Dorner or do you have some other beef with the profession. You can't seriously be arguing the position you're putting forth, right? I've met you and talked with you at length. You're too smart (or so I believed) to honestly suggest disarming police because they're prone to rampages (I looked up your constable example. He killed an ex-girlfriend...not a school full of kids, or a campus full of students, or a Luby's full of patrons, or a theater full of movie goers. Tragic? yes. Vile? Yes. Comparable? No.). And, again, I'm not a big proponent of disarming everybody. I know it siits the agenda of this thread to paint me that way, it just aint true. Just like painting me as Louis Farrakhan's reincarnation, looking for racism around every corner, suits Lifer. But again, it just aint true.

It's pointed sarcasm. If you want to take all guns away from all citizens, as, make no mistake, the left does, then their arguments for disarming he law abiding public can absolutely be made for disarming the police.

Do I believe that either of these 2 things should happen? Of course not.

Just using the left's own argument to show you and others how asinine it is. Apparently you agree.

Not that it matters, but Ann Richards was governor when texans voted to have a lottery, and she administered the lottery for the 1st 4 years. Leave it to democrats to find a way to tax the poor.

The point is we have thrown money at education for years with negative results. Money obviously isn't the problem.

Buying a lotto ticket is an individual choice.....just like buying a gun...or cigarettes...or alcohol.

While I am not, again, on board with every proposal made by the POTUS, I also fail to see the portion that says "make it illegal for any citizen to own a gun". I own six guns, all of which would be in ZERO danger of being randomly seized if EVERY portion of Obama's proposals was passed. where is the "make gun ownership illegal" part? If I missed that part please highlight it for me. Your argument that "If you want to take all guns away from all citizens, as, make no mistake, the left does..." doesn't seem to hold water without it. Now you can argue a slippery slope if you so choose. Likewise I guess I could argue that allowing prayer in schools is the first step toward mandatory Bible study and the burning of all books with references to evolutionary theory. Or would the right like to argue that Dems are the only party capable of abuse of power? So, please, show me the "take all guns from all people", part:

The "make gun ownership illegal" part is firmly in place in the cities of Chicago and New York, both dominated by leftist politicians. There was a bill proposed in the New York legislature to ban all guns state wide and go door to door to retrieve said guns. Put your head under a rock if you choose, but the only reason Pres. Obama hasn't proposed the banning of all guns is because he smartly knows that it would never become a reality in the current USA. He is proposing what he thinks he can get away with and justify to the American people.

And hooray to the gun companies that chose to make a statement by not selling arms to the federal government.

As far as prayer in school (wherever that came from), that's not the issue that we are discussing. Talk about straw men.

So, you are saying that anyone that opposes a new tax for education or thinks the educational system is overfunded is:

1) against any funding for education

2) Can't get a degree from a publicly funded institution?

So, either with you are against you, eh?

Don't think I ever said anything about completely defunding education, did I?

On a side note, it is good to see you supporting gun ownership, but that kinda makes sense because you wanna tax the crap outta it. ;-)
