I have it confirmed from Paul Batchelder from the AD that they are planning on hosting another Garage Sale in conjunction with the Spring Game at Apogee on the 13th of April. Keeping the fingers crossed that they throw the last 2 yrs of practice jerseys out there for sale.

They have been talking about it for a few weeks on the basketball radio broadcasts. Good times.

well hopefully they use more than just the radio broadcasts for this basketball team to promote it. No reason why you couldn't have twice the numbers of last year's event. Send out promos to every high school team in the area (or at least the top half) and let them know that they can buy gloves, cleats and all sorts of other lightly used (or unused) gear at a stupid cheap price.

My roommate's sole intent on going to the Spring Game is to buy his nephew gear for football and basketball. If we win a few hearts and minds while they are at the stadium then that is even better.

I would swear that I already posted this, but it's not here...so, I'll try again....

Also, stop by the GMG.com Bowl X silent auction while you visit the garage sale. Our table will be close by, and we 'll have some way cool UNT related items at auction as well as some golf packages and other way cool items. All proceeds to UNT's student-athlete scholarship fund.

Come on down ya'll....you can check out some of the items we have up for auction here on the football board.

I scooped up a really great UNT letter jacket...really is nice and it is warn as well. If you find the right size and item you want, this is really a nice sale to check out....

      Athletics site shows no more Bowl tickets available?

      Fun bowl games, not quite so fun playoff games. Maybe there's still something to be said for the bowl games after all.

      Another NIL Coaching Casualty

      It will take some time for the fans of these schools to adjust to losing a few games a year when they're in the new "P2" consisting of maybe 40 teams max. However, filling an average 80k stadium for maybe 20 games/wk is only about 1.5M people demanding tickets for each week's game. Out of over 300M people, I suspect they can still keep filling the stands, other than the few days of "dud" games or bad weather. Now, I'm not sure about TV ratings, but there's so many T-shirt fans of these top 40 schools that I think they'll still watch. I hope this greed and the extreme powering of the top few schools ends up biting them in the a$$, but I'm afraid they'll be successful. I don't mind them breaking away, I just wish they'd be forced to give up any relation to the school. Go create a stand-alone semi-pro league independent of the universities. I haven't followed pro sports in decades, but my quick check shows the Cowboys have been varying between 6-9 and 13-3 for the past 20 years with minimal playoff success but from what I hear, they have plenty of demand for tickets, even when they suck. I realize they are a somewhat special team, but then again, so are these P2 teams, so I think the comparison is reasonably legit.

      Lot of fun bowl games so far. Toledo vs Pitt last night was incredible. This was another great game as well.

      Portal QB Emmet Brown - San Jose St

      Think this is staff trying to balance the QB Room out Have a 1 year starter, plus solid backup, the back up plays Sr Year while Jimmerson is the back up. Then after a few years to develop Jimmerson is ready to rock. I think Jimmerson may win the job as a RS Freshman over this guy. But it provides you with some solid QB play for competition as well as depth.
