Florida Atlantic close to stadium sponsor

I just read that Florida Atlantic is close to signing a deal for $5 mil to allow naming rights to a private prison company. To FAU's credit, it appears to be the biggest private prison company in the world.

In other news, FAU is going to a striped uniform next season.

I read that too. I always thought Wackenhut was the largest private prison company.

So in short:

1. GEO Group bids on naming rights for FAU.
2. Activists band together to get the GEO Group bid tossed out.
3. Meanwhile, GEO Group is trying to wipe the company Wikipedia page of anything questionable, replacing it with basically a press release.
4. Then, other users put the original controversial information back on to the Wikipedia page, only to have it replaced again with the GEO press release from an anonymous IP address traced back to GEO Group's servers.

Not only are they extremely shady, they're not particularly bright, either.

Also, I'm glad we got a company that isn't obviously shady for our stadium naming rights.
