Not all QB's need to be 6'6" if that's what's bothersome. Canales driving out to Carthage is a pretty good indication of our interest. Great numbers, and I like having a guy come in with a full 3 years as a HS starter under his belt.

Look at Riley Dodge's production. It's not his height that bothers me. It's his lack of speed. Riley was a hell of a lot faster than this kid. Not saying he can't play. just he's not a FBS caliber QB.

Kid hasn't even played his senior year and the usuals are already complaining. I would trust Coach Canales' judgement since he was watched alot of film on this young man.

He's not an FBS QB. He's a junior in high school. I'm pretty sure 17 yr olds get bigger stronger faster and taller as they age.

Because so many people throw around illegitimate 4.3 and 4.4 40 times people think anything else is slow. People were complaining about Jimmerson too because his rivals profile had his 40 time at 4.8. Also, Dajon Williams was listed at a 5.14 40 on his espn recruiting profile.

Take listed 40 times with a grain of salt. Watch a players highlights to judge how fast he is when it matters, in the games.

Recruiting profile 40 times are meaningless.

55.2 percent in a pro-style offense isn't the same as 55.2 in a spread. He's not making seven-yard hitch throws 75 percent of the time. He's taking five- and seven-step drops most of the time and making reads.

If Trey Haverty was all over him before going to Tech, he's probably a pretty good quarterback.
