Wouldn't it be nice if we, as fans, had the opportunity to purchase replicas of these throwback uniforms at the home opener?

Surely someone has thought of this, right?

I certainly hope so. I'd purchase one. With Joe Greene's number. I really hope UNT has an idea that I would even spend upwards of $200 even on an authentic one.

Sadly I'd consider it a huge win if we even got an ill-designed t-shirt to commemorate the flying worm. I'd love a high quality, vintage looking shirt. Instead I envision some cheap, baggy, 2nd rate Gildian t-shirt that will also have our current branding mixed in. Prove me wrong AD/marketing.

We haven't had a cursive North Texas for like 10 years ...

Whatever lack of imagination nonsense they slap on the helmets, on a year to year basis it seems like, is so bad I lose track. It's beyond me why it changes every ten minutes and its always rubbish. Typical Busch League performance out of the athletic department. Why they can't come up with an original, simple, lasting brand is beyond me. Do you see OU, UT TT, aTm, SMU, TCU, ect in a constant reinvention mode? We are worse than an aging pop star on attempts to resurrect a career and rebrand.

The throwbacks will be funny. However, for the nostalgic folks, I apologize, the worm stuff looks like something you would see on a YMCA wall circa 1980. It's bizarre and I guess if I were on acid I would get it. It's just weird.

With the way UNT's culture is half the time I am surprised braille hasn't been tried on the helmets. The interlocking NT would be so easy, timeless, and simple. So it won't happen...

I heard that. He needs a private sit down with RV to understand how that will never happen.

And I'm always troubled to hear my University's mascot referred to as a "worm."

GO MEAN GREEN

Flying Worm, Joe...flying worm! Agree with you!

Talk to the folks down at the new store named BAREFOOT in downtown Denton...right off the square...great store, tons of Mean green stuff for men, women and kids. They might like producing just what you want.

Just needs to be a market for them...how many do you you really think folks would buy? Needs to be probably in the hundreds to make it worthwhile for anyone to create them in all the different sizes necessary. Think it would "fly" at that level?
