Interesting article in the Dallas paper this AM on the new academic standards for incoming freshman this year. The article says that the projection is that 10% of the recruited freshman will fail to meet the new standards and will have to sit out next year or attend a JC to gain the necessary standards.

I dont see this effecting us at North Texas with the emphasis all the HC in Football and Basketball have.

Now for some of these big time programs in the SEC, BIG 10/12, Pac 12 it will really effect.

They take in some players that focus a little(LOT) more on athletics than on academics.

Academic fraud will come into play as well as a result.

Hmmm wasn't Syd Moore a pickup we made a lot more easily because other programs backed off because his academic eligibilty is not certain?
