With signing day around the corner, here’s a look at how UNT’s 2013 recruiting class grades out…


Instant impact: Defensive back


UNT’s coaching staff was not pleased with the Mean Green’s
performance in the defensive secondary last season and dedicated time
and resources in terms of scholarships to upgrading the back line of its
defense. UNT signed James Jones, a cornerback out of Kilgore who is
expected to compete for a starting job right away. Jones was an
honorable mention NJCAA All-American. Cornerback Chad Davis of Fort Bend
Bush is arguably UNT’s top high school recruit.
