Alexis Hyder had her best week of the season notching her fifth career
double-double and career-highs in points and rebounds to lead North
Texas to an undefeated week. In snapping the Arkansas State seven-game
winning streak, Hyder poured in a career-high 23 points on 10-of-16
shooting and had nine rebounds. In the win over Louisiana-Lafayette,
Hyder scored 14 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds. The 16
rebounds by Hyder were the most by a North Texas freshman since the 2005
season. For the week she averaged a double-double with 19.5 points and
12.5 rebounds.

Alexis is a great example of this program. Good kids, good coach, entertaining team, competing for the west division title. Everything we want UNT sports to be. Twelve of the 15 on the team made a 3.0 GPA or better. Great job Mike Petersen and Rick.

And we have only 3 posts. Nothing to bitch about here.

I liked it better when our women's basketball team wasn't a crutch to help keep pissy vendettas over men's basketball going strong.

Congrats, Alexis!
