hard to blame the kid... hope we have someone waiting in the wings...

moral victory should be looked at as, last year SMU stole our recruits at the last second... this year TCU = we're moving up?

UGH...but, you never know until the signatures on on the dotted lines. Eighteen year old kids have been known to do some "interesting" things.

yeah i like that thought process golfinggomez

You thinking mcCarney should maybe look for some JUCO skilled players for our offensive holes?

If our recruits keep jumping ship, I'll tell them exactly what they can put in their offensive holes...

This sucks but I can't fault a kid's thinking of going to TCU to play in the Big 12 versus coming into a very struggling FB program here at NT. Yes he may have to wait a couple of years before he gets a chance if ever but at 18 years old you rarely ever think about those things.

According to Vito the kid will decide tonight where he will play.

Reciever at TCU or Defensive Back at UNT ...

He said that he likes TCU is playing LSU to open the season.

Why does playing LSU one time where you won't play compared to having two Louisana schools in CUSA where you will get plenty of playing time.

Position coaches leave all the time.

It's about the school and the program. Not one coach.

Let me share some wisdom with you guys. When a recruit commits, he commits to the coaching staff not the school. Hence why a bunch of recruits jump ship when a coach leaves a program.

I had a great time with your mother last night.

She was built tight, there's no way she had a kid.

You must have been adopted.

Definitely one of the better Mom-jabs. Too bad you beat me to it, I hate sloppy seconds.

I AM GOING TO SAY THIS AGAIN REALLY LOUD, FOR THOSE OF YOU IN THE CHEAP SEATS.

COACHES DO NOT RELEASE ANY INFORMATION ON RECRUITS UNTIL SIGNING DAY!!!

Any info you see out there until Feb 6 is from the recruits or their high school coaches. This idea that we started publicizing our recruiting is wrong. We (and all other schools) do not, because it is against the rules!

Pay attention!

I don't think anyone has suggested otherwise. However, Dickey allegedly instructed his verbal commits to keep quiet to news outlets and recruiting websites once they came around.

The more time goes by, the more I am amazed at the class that Dickey pulled in with Kennedy, Buckles, Hall, etc...If it weren't for that class coming here and winning the SBC, I really wonder if we would have ever built a new stadium or even stayed as a FBS program. Imagine if that 4-year stretch of "glory years" had never happened and we had records in the same vein as the rest of our post I-aa existence---there's no way you can convince me that we would have left the Sun Belt or ever changed our money bag OOC scheduling.

Hard not to understand when the coach recruiting you resigns 5 days before signing day..

Anyone know the story behind his departure, especially at this late date in recruiting process?
