WR- Shanklin RB- Bobby Smith (played for Buffalo mid sixties) I had forgot about Bernard Jackson. The Denton police never solved his murder, no arrests made. I think he was leading the NCAA in rushing at the time. He was shot outside a club just south of the campus (where Chase bank, Subway are now)

Forgot about Spider Lockhart and Shanklin in throwing that list together in about 5 minutes. I should be ashamed.

I was thinking of Ball. I am friends with Bresnahan and his brothers. Good family, but, as you noted, he didn't kick here much.

Can someone enlighten me when our first game was played and against whom? I have always thought our first official intercollegiate game was against TCU in 1914. If this year marks our century mark then what are we going to do in lieu of celebration and promotion? Anything? UT put"100" on its helmets a several years years ago. Are we planning thing like that?
