With losses at home to UL-La, UL-M, and embarrassing losses at UL-La,FIU, and a D-2 school. I think I went to every home game the last 2 years that Trilli was here but is anybody else like me and has lost all desire to go to the Pit to watch us play? Alzee, Tony, Roger, and Holman all started that conference title game but the same crew is all of the sudden the bottom of the Belt? I wish there was somebody that was close to the program that could give some good insight on why this has been such a failure.

Guys, I promise you if we can just rotate on the perimeter a little faster and execute or 3-killing zones, this is a completely different game.

I know I know we're 20+ games into this new regime, but the increasingly bad losses can only mean other teams are getting better and we're not the players are at fault for giving up. It's right around the corner just ignore that 30+ point loss. I see improvement.

When we have the right players whenever that happens because who would want to come join this debacle everyone will be all-in and we will win CUSA.

Stop your whining, show your UNT colors and donate moremoremoremore.

I don't even think about it much anymore. I'm not sure when the last time my seats were occupied.

It's not the losing per se that bothers me, it's the directionlessness. It's why I'm not too worried about football and am looking forward to this fall. I can sort of see the direction. Do I want things to be farther along? Sure, but I can at least make sense of the plan there.

With this? It's not fun, it's not entertaining, and they're losing to teams they have no business losing to. They have no discernible direction.

I'll be keeping my seats next year, Bumford or no, because I like them and I'll be a NT fan beyond his tenure here, but if he's still here next year I'll probably just go to the women's games most of the time. They may not win all the time, but at least it's entertaining.

it is so crazy how many games I could have actually made it to this year but just couldn't muster up the energy to drive the 30 miles. The entire situation sickens me. I am ready for these players to go. I am ready for benford to get his players in and prove to us he can coach. without being close to the program, my gut tells me there are several power players on that team that influence the entire squad. benford has fault in not being able to connect with the talent that was left behind. however, when good players quit they can take a titanic size ship down. what a shame these kids will look back at what could have been a magical season. they peesed it away and killed the emotion in a budding program. everyone has some fault in this but all we can do is move forward.

1. get rid of these players

2. give benford 2 more years to assemble his talent and prove he can coach

3. rv - beg your fanbase for patience

4. get ready for a bigger time

I only want to watch players and coaches that want to be here and win.

NM Green,

With all due respect, if you give Benford & Co. two more years UNT Men's basketball will be back in the stone age!!! Blame the players, but if you think this is on the players I've got news for you, your wrong! JJ and LSU just beat MSU yesterday and knocked off the number #17th team in the country the game before that.

JJ did this again with lesser talent than both of his last 2 opponents because his team believes in him, his system, and plays with hart. LSU was down by 14 at the half yesterday and down as many as 17, but battled the whole game, believed in themselve and brought home the "W". MSU didin't know what hit them.

Benford can't motivate this team to believe or even grasp his system, and this is with one of the most talented players in the college game Mr. Tony Mitchell. There's no telling how good TM will be once he gets a far away from Benford as humanly possible.

Do you believe TM will ever donate any of the millions he's going to make when he's in the NBA? FAT CHANCE!! This is squarely on RV and Benford. Now RV because he doesn't have the gutt's to fire Benford and Co. right now, or 30 to 60 days ago. What's RV's upside in waiting? I'd bet you Tony Mitchell's high school coach could have won more games than Benford has if he were coaching UNT men's basketball.

If Benford can't coach or motivate players how do you expect him not to whipped up one side of the barn and down the other in upcoming recruiting battles against JJ, UTA's coach, or insert any other's coach's name here after our season's over. Crap, once again I'm preaching to myself and the "insert your favorate word here".

1- no. This is the most talented team in NT history. They seemed to play ok last season

2- you can not be serious

3- there are times for patience and times for action

4- I don't even know what this means

This is exactly what should happen...

If you want to never care about UNT basketball again.

It's to the point where I just naturally expect losses. Like, I don't even consider a win to be a possibility. Yet the current winning percentage is still more than double that of Mr. Dodge. God, I've seen some dark, dark days in my short time with UNT athletics.

Most talented team on paper only. Results on the hardwood are proving otherwise.

The results on the hardwood last year were just fine. Top 25? Not even close. But were we bottom 50? We are now...with largely the same players.

The sad thing is that this year's team is more experienced and probably more talented. Yet the results are worse.

Worst post of the year.

funny because if this was regarding football everyone would be fine with it.

I am not saying Benford is the man, which right now it is not good, but double standards are fun.

It's not a double standard if the situations are different. What kind of shape was the football program in when they last got a new coach compared to basketball? Edited by Army of Dad
