Almost certainly Rice. I think that will be homecoming and it is a Texas team.

(I'm assuming that the Oct 12 game against the MUTS is too early for HC)

Homecoming crowd will not necessarily be biggest unless the schedule encourages game attendance by all the groups that have partied outside the stadium instead of going to the games the last few years.

I put Idaho just cause it seems as our first game of the year is usually the best attended....but i hope we buck that trend with some games against texas school while fighting for bowl eligibility

Heat will be a factor in attendance if we are still having 100+ degree days. I think it would make a real difference if the game was at 7 PM instead of 6 PM. Hope you are right though.

How well our season has gone will have a lot to do with how well the November games are attended. If I knew we'd be 7-1 versus . . . the alternative, I'd definitely pick the Rice game. But I had to go with recent trends, and pick the home opener.

If we are in the hunt for a bowl and UTEP, Rice, or UTSA is doing the same, then expect some really good numbers. Attendance should be good anyway.

New conference, new rivals, and TEXAS schools that have yet to see the new stadium...it doesn't get much better than that.

Another factor we haven't thought about yet is we will be picked up for some of our home games on Fox Sports SW?

With SMU gone, we will be on the big screen now in DFW.

Does that play a role in our game times to facilitate tv programming?

If anything its a good problem to have.

I do hope we stay away from MTSU for homecoming or else we wont show to the alumni that we are actually in a different conference.

In theory, this should be our best-attended year, ever. We get the benefit of having several regional "rivals" in our house and it's our first year in a new conference in a still mostly-new stadium. In theory, I tell you.
