uniform upgrade

Our football program finally made the top 10 in something. Bleacher Report ranks us #9 in top 25 teams who need a uniform upgrade.

I saw a pic of Bama's Chance Warmack the other day when they were going up against us. All I could think about was how horrible, boring, and plain our unis are. We don't have to go back the the SLC unis but please...something....anything other than what we have now. It looks like we have cheap unis, the colors are horrible. just bad all the way around.

How can they not get some students, players, designers together to come up with some thing better.

Read it this morning. I personally like the green... which is the one thing that this guy seems to hate the most. I guess he overlooked the annoying "North Texas" WordMark that we all personally hate. LOL

From what I was told, Mac wants a uniform change, but the AD doesnt.

One of the worst in football. Especially the helmet with north Texas just written on it. A new helmet may even make the rest look better.

I am on board with win first then worry about changes in the uniform. Our uniforms aren't really the problem given the color selected. I would prefer an emerald green. I would also gladly be part of a write-in campaign to get North Texas off of the helmet and the superimposed NT on. Since we already have 'North Texas' on the jersey, putting it on the helmet is redundant.

You know I do think that perhaps instead of venting our frustration/suggestions on this board, we cold actually become powerful alumni that help move the program forward.

One of us can't do much to change RV or Admin's mind, but all of us together are a force for good and progress. I think that perhaps we can and should petition these things to them.

As trivial as they may sound, we need to do a better job at making them know that we put money from our livelihood into a product that we believe in. We have to have a sense of pride in that product. From the GPAs in the classroom, to the performance on the field and the package these kids put on (uniform).

It's about our pride, our legacy, and our future at North Texas. The only other thing I put this much money into is my church!

Do you know why I moved from PA to TX? 1) To get away from the hellhole where I lived and 2) To go to one of the best art schools in the country. We have amazing art students, teachers, and alumni. You're absolutely right.
