I made a few calls today on the recruiting front and was able to confirm another official visitor for this weekend.

Omar Tebo, a big lineman from Liberty, Texas, will be in town.

couple other notes: Omar Tebo is 300+ pounds and runs under 5.0, he placed 6th in state in power lifting, heavyweight division...sort of sounds like another guy we remember...

I like him; seems tenacious. They'be been playing some good ball in Liberty the last few years.

His physical measurements remind me of Booger Kennedy...short, quick and strong. I still hope that one of the uncommitted three star defensive tackles might sign but if anyone doesn't then Tebo sounds good. It's hard to have too many good defensive linemen.

His measurements are better than Haboul's and everyone seems fine with him. Get Tebo to Denton.

If he is 6' X 295 and fast enough to play DE, then he sounds like a great DT prospect to me.

Is it just coincidence that he is wearing Walter Chapman's old number (65)?

Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of these fireplugs signed. Strength is such a big factor at that position.

According to the Texas HS Powerlifting Association, his best squat last spring was 650, best bench was 400, and best dead lift was 620.

Looks like he lifted last spring at a body weight normally between 315lbs - 320lbs. His best meet total of 1650 was good for 8th best in the state across all classifications in super heavy weight classs and 16th best in the state regardless of weight class.
