only 2 rec all year for 12 yards?

Hope this is a walk-on case, not burning a scholarship on a Juco TE when we have more needs on DL

The lack of receptions doesnt bother me. As long as he can block while we run up the gut he'll do fine.

Listed at 6' 4", 270 lbs., put 20-30 more lbs. on him and convert him to DT!

I get the idea but I'd hope we could do better with the remaining couple spots than a juco kid playing a new posistion....

In the video he had more than two catches and seemed to have decent receiving skills for a blocking tight end. a slightly quicker version of power.

1st team All-district in basketball in high school.

We need some players. Maybe he can go 2 sports. Can he shoot? Play defense? Rebound?

But seriously, he has to be a walk on, right?

My Mac Pro is now 5 years old so I can't watch HUDL videos anymore because everyone is only going off the new platform.

I was just going off of his stats.

With his measureables, it would be a steal to get him to walk-on.

Would be a nice Power replacement

Does he have a video on YouTube ?

Shows to have an offer from UNT per the Rivals link Harry posted.

Looks like KState also had interest. I don't remember seeing this kid on our radar on Rivals previously. Maybe an indication of Coach Snyder telling Coach Mac that he needs to get on this kid.

Actually TE is one of NT biggest need positions. They lost the starter and several others. Miller is back and Prior too after a redshirt year, but both are seniors. Marcus Smith was injured and although supposed to be very good has not proven it yet. He, Tanner Smith and Cooper Jones are I think the only ship underclassmen.

NT used a lot of multiple te sets last year, and they do need numbers.

DL has almost everyone in the rotation returning and lots of bodies. Yes, NT could use a star player on the defensive line; but it is not the need position a lot seem to think. They lost Obi at de and Cantly at dt but return de's McCoy, Mason and Bellazin who played a lot. They have added a good juco and have redshirt freshmen Horton, Watson, and Deluga. Lincoln, Abbe and Boutwell return from the dt rotation and they have 3 freshmen redshirts.

Those are pretty good numbers. We shouldn't have to use tight ends as much this year if we can roll out a decent passing game.

I know we need help now, but if he's got what it takes to play defense, I might even be OK with him sitting out this year to prepare for that DL conversion. Guys that size with speed don't grow on trees.
