I got my first ever flu shot yesterday and even added a pneumonia shot, too; and this after visitng a friend at Weatherford Regional Hospital yesterday

of which I had to wear a mask to even get in her room since she was infectious with both the flu and pneumonia, that is. Then I was told by the nurses "if

you haven't had a flu shot---go get one now (it's not too late)." .

* Heard on a WBAP yesterday that 37 U.S. states are now reporting high numbers of flu-like symptoms among their citizens.

* In the 2003/2004 flu season approx. 40,000 in the USA died of the flu.

Addendum: I got my flu shot for $25 at a local Brookshires Grocery Store's pharmacy here in Weatherford. The pharmicist gives the shot.

Both of Weatherford's Walgreens and CVS were out of flu shots but were due to get more of them in late yesterday.

My kids read this board and they don't want to hear about you getting a thumb up your butt...unless you have pictures of the girls.

Anyone ever tried the flu shot nasal spray thing? I won't ever go near a needle by choice, but a nose spray? That I can get behind.

Next time you go, ask her if she will "milk your prostate". If you don't know what that is, she probably does.

Jim, I'm delighted that you got your shot. You still have to avoid crowds of people for two weeks, which is the how long it takes the vaccine to get into your system. In light of the business that you're in, that could pose a problem.
