Yup, that was a bad deal all around. What kind of fine did Lewis end up having to pay for obstruction? Anyone recall?

Rick

The NFL fined him $250,000.00. The state gave him the max probation available of 12 months for his obstruction plea.

Just one more in the long history of athletes and movie stars and other celebs getting special treatment from law enforcement and judicial officials. Sad, how this stuff is always "forgotten" so quickly in the face of celebrity.

More like paying off witnesses. Nothing law enforcement or a judge can do when witnesses change their story.

Might just have a very good point there, Sir.

Funny, the title of this thread popped up as just as ESPN ran a segment devoted to Ray Lewis' intro dance. One person interviewed said he thought there would be people crying when they watched Ray's last dance.

ESPN apologizes for Brent Musberger's statements about how beautiful a woman is, but they praise the degenerate Ray Lewis.

yea

I'm sure Ray Lewis is a scumbag... But I'll sure miss watching him play football. I find it easier to just go ahead and assume all professional athletes are scumbags. It's more enjoyable to be suprised when you realize one isn't, than upset when you realize they are.

That seems to be a sound policy.

Now that <explative> gets to go to the Super Bowl...AGAIN. There is no justice. I hate Baltimore Ravans because of the crappy way they moved out on Cleveland and because Lewis is allowed to run free when he should be in jail.
