Confirmed by Brett Murphy just now.

Talk about a yawn of a hire with less than a month to put a recruiting class together and just a couple for his staff.

AD shot themselves in both feet with this whole ordeal

Basically, really only had 1 good season winning a big10 title at Illinois in 2001 followed by 3 straight losing season before getting fired in 2004..

Really don't see how he is going to turn around a program who just had their HC fired out of nowhere and AD didn't hire the guy they wanted and lost their 2013 recruiting class in the process.

Add to the fact he Hasn't been at the college level in almost 10 years.

Their AD must be pray that this works out. The guy must be on the short list to get fired now. Why fire the coach that made your program to go to.... well no need to be mean to Ron Turner, but it sure does not seem necessary to take that risk.

      Morris, Football Add Two Signees on February Signing Day

      DENTON, Texas – Head coach Eric Morris announced the addition of two new student-athletes to the UNT football team on National Signing Day Wednesday. The Mean Green added Bryce Garza our of Wolfforth, Texas and Terrence Lewis from Brenham, Texas. The pair of signees join the nine other additions who signed in early December to make up an 11-person 2025 high school signing class. “We really like this entire group of high school players we signed,” Morris said. “We got bigger in a lot of areas. We addressed some needs that we had on both sides of the football. Everyone saw it this past season, we played 10 true freshmen in the bowl game. So being able to get this group of players added to improve our roster for 2025 is big.” In total, nine of the 11 high school prospect hail from the state of Texas while two played high school football in Oklahoma. Two of the high school prospects, Chris Jimerson Jr. and Jaden Manning, enrolled at UNT in January and will compete with the Mean Green this spring. The remaining nine players will join the Mean Green in the summer of 2025.       Men's Golf Finishes 3rd @ Vaqueros Intercollegiate

Freshman Alex Huang also finished in the top-20 with a 71-71-78 to put himself in a tie for 13th place. Joe Stover broke par on Tuesday to finish tied for 23rd at 8-over after his final-round 71.

      Should Spring Games be Eliminated

      Just listened to a guy on CBSSports.com stating that under the current transfer portal situation, why would teams want to showcase their talent just to have other teams come in a try to lure them away. He predicted spring games would become closed to prying eyes until changes are made to the portal/post spring game entries.
