This is the best news Bumford has heard all season. Now if he can just trick everyone into forgetting how bad we sucked before this happened.... His excuse is set!!!

I've never seen it rain on any athletics program like UNT. It's been hard luck for as long as I've been around, and for any decade I've read about.

If we get any sunshine in a major sport, it just doesn't last and the other major sport seems to take a major hit.

I disagree. Every program has moments of tough luck, but unlike us, they don't blame their failures on them.

Does anyone have any info on players not liking Benford? Ya he is doing a crappy job so far but if one player could hit the backside of the barn we could have a totally different team.

This team is all around bad! Bad coaching, bad shooting, bad defense, bad rebounding, and inflated egos. I think having shots fall in a nice streak will change all that. Why play defense if we can't score, let's leak out to try and steal a basket, and don't mess up or I'll come out.

I'm not happy with the coach as much as with the players.

Do we know how long he may be out ? I'm not a medical expert , but would guess it depends on how & where the bone was broken. Are we talking a month , 2 months ??

I believe a Vito blog said at least until the conference tournament.

      Softball vs. UAB (4/17 & 4/18/25)

      Mother Nature disrupts another softball series. With Easter on Sunday, and bad weather expected Saturday, the ladies will play one game tomorrow and a doubleheader Friday starting at 3 PM. Tight race in The American as we enter the last three conference series. UNT needs two wins this series to match their win total from last year. I maintain getting a top two seed is the highest priority but we are right there with #1 FAU and hold the tiebreaker, the only team in the conference to do so. Other Series This Weekend FAU @ East Carolina Memphis @ South Florida UTSA @ Charlotte Wichita State @ Tulsa I don't foresee South Florida or Charlotte losing this weekend, so a sweep at home against UAB is almost necessary.

      We’re not alone

      I read somewhere before the teams were even seeded that Florida, Auburn, Duke, and Houston were a step above every other team. There was some metric/stat they showed to back up the statement. So, yes, I think those teams were accurately seeded…though TT almost had something to say about it.

He reported also that Johnson left towards the end of the season. I knew I didn't see her any longer, but I thought maybe injuries, but it turns out she left like Abou did a few years back. Brackens went into the portal and has since landed at Tarleton State. The only people he says that are coming back are Tac, who was injured all season, Chania Price, and Talley.
