Heading to watch Rice Air Force

Those counting Rice as a win next year need to hold their horses. They look pretty good and have a lot coming back.

Yeah, after watching them deftly start to wrap this up and wear out AF, I looked up their roster...

...only like 7-8 SRs, 4 of them starting this year.

They're going to be really tough next year.

Who's the team with a R on their helmet? They should totally "spell out" the name of their school...so we know who's playing! Ha!

BTW Rice looked pretty salty with the win. 2nd half shut out.

Speaking of helmet talk, if you look close, the pattern on the AF helmets is made of stealth bomber silouettes. Pretty cool.

Impossible!! We all know "young" teams can't be competitive.

FFRick and I were also at this game. I was impressed by what TCU did to their stadium. I still prefer Apogee because of where/how we have our seating but it is a first rate facility.

At 44 degrees at kickoff this morning the chill factor was nearly 30 degrees warmer than the last time Emmitt and I attended this bowl game.

I'll never concern myself over access in and out of Apogee ever again. For all of the big money brewhaha TCU spent on stadium improvements...their access and parking is still absolutley pathetic, and that was for just-over a half full stadium.

Rice is disciplined on both sides of the LOS. I like how they dont waste time or timeouts, especially on short yardage downs. And they still know how to use the TE as a weapon.

Their fanbase is still tiny, saw high school games with more fans in the stands this year than they had today. Still, they will be tough next year with so much talent returning. It was good to see a C-USA team dominate one from the Mountain.
