The Army-Navy Game...GO NAVY!!!!...is always my favorite non-UNT college football game of the year....ALWAYS! To me it's more enjoyable to watch than the National Championship game in college ball o=r the Super Bowl in the pro game...yes, I like it that much. It's a game where "student-athlete" actually means it and where few, if any, on either side have pro football career thoughts. So, yes, for me, it is EXACTLY what the college game is all about.

So, laying that foundation, I ran across what i think is a great quote related to that annual game...I do not know who to credit with the quote...if someone else does, please let us know...

Here goes...

"SHOW ME A GAME WHERE EVERYONE PLAYING IS WILLING TO DIE FOR EVERYONE WATCHING".

GREATNESS! And, that folks is one reason I think this is the GREATEST College Game played each and every year.

GO NAVY!

Not a fan of Army/Air Force or Navy/Air Force? ;)

Just kidding. I have always wanted to go to an Army/Navy game. John Feinstein wrote a terrific book about the rivalry ten or so years ago that I definitely recommend.

My bride and I went two years ago. It was an item on my bucket list. Absolutely the BEST football experience I have ever had....bar none! Sat in an are with Navy folks on one side and Army on the other side of me. The respect these folks have for both teams is amazing. While they cheered for the respective teams, they applauded the good work by the opposing teams as well. The walk-on is not to be missed. Navy won this game as it has the last eleven in a row, but after the game it was great to see everyone enjoying parents, Mids and Cadets alike in one happy "family". They cheer and cheer hard for their teams, they hope and pray f,or victory, but they all know what is really important and what is not. Seniors on both teams were heading off to service in a few short months, and the respect was there for all to see. Cannot say enough about this game and the experience of seeing it in person. I highly recommend going at least once. You wil not be sorry you did.
