Disappointing but not surprising. They have always had a strong partnership with SMU. The New Orleans destination is a big positive for them.

Just die already Big East!!! This conference is such a joke. Next to leave will be UCONN, Louisville, and Cincy. Boise will be jumping back to their MWC soon enough. All the Big East is going to be is a CUSA redo. Stupid move Tulane. Stupid. No auto BCS bid. Theres a reason they haven't reached a deal on their TV deal yet.

Its looking like in a few years the Big East will turn into the old C-USA and the Sun Belt will become the new C-USA. So much for moving up in the world.

If I am Banowsky - I am on the phone with ULL.

ULL might be a huge academic downgrade from Tulane, but a huge football upgrade.

Replacing ECU is a little tougher. Additionally, we have those two moveups that were added almost solely for the purpose of placating ECU. That side of the conference is going to be messy.

Just what I was afraid of.

Tulane really really dealt a blow to C-USA because by accepting this charade they have lent credence to its existence. This is all about TV Markets now.
