Quick Sun Belt call notes

I’m not a big fan of the unpleasant question time of the year, which is back after a year’s hiatus at UNT.

So here are the two news tidbits from today’s Sun Belt call, neither of which is surprising:

– Linebacker Mike Stojkovic is gone for good.

– Wide receiver Chaz Sampson is transferring out.

I wonder what happened to Stojkovic? He was redshirting this season. Saw him on the sidelines for most of the season.

How many players are gone from Mac's first class? Stojkovic, Sampson, Swarn, Brooks, Osborn, any others?

I'm guessing that he was, overall, too high maintenance. And it could also be that some of the young RS LB's are showing enough promise to mitigate this loss. I know that Polk and LaJaylin Smith had some playing time. Does anyone know about Jarrian Roberts (#30), Brendin Campbell (#38), Dustin Clark (#47), Roberts Lewis (#50), Kendall Washington (#53) ?

Polk...played in 5 games, recorded 9 tackles.

Smith....9 games, 3 tackles.

Campbell...9 games, 1 tackle.

Found nothing on Roberts, Clark, Lewis, Or Washington. At least they don't show on the player participation report foe the WKY game.

As best I can tell from the stat sheets and attending games, of Mac's 46 recruits, 6 to 8 have started, with 8 others getting significant playing time.

I don't know if that's good or bad, but if you believe the message we have been fed as to how horrible the situation Dodge supposedly left us in you would think there would be more starters from the new blood than that?
