Will Mac go Juco in 3rd class?

Dodge went pretty heavy juco in 2009 heading into his 3rd signing class with 8 of his 21 signees being junior college transfers. I don't think we will see this in Mac's 3rd class but it will be interesting to see how many he does sign. BTW Dodge signed 7 jucos in 2008 (out of 26 total signees) in his second year.

What does Dan think he has at center with experience, duo threat qb locked down or safties for next year? That would be on my Christmas JUCO list if I was the NT head coach.

With a few obvious exceptions, Dodge hit a whole lot better with his JUCO signings in that class than with the HS signings.

I don't imagine Danny Mac going with more then a couple JUCO's at need positions. Center possibly, D-Line, WR and CB

If Mac stays consistant, no. He said he is building this program on Texas high school kids.

I would anticipate sprinkling 2 or 3 in per year. That includes xfers. I think he is willing to take his lumps now in favor if red shirting and allowing kids to develop. The kids we have to recruit NEED that year of physical development in addition to learning the system in place. This is his vision, and just because we are ALL disappointed in the record this year, he isn't going to scrap his plan. He wants to get us back to 85 schollies for contributors. Without quality depth, there won't be wins late in the year.

Mo I think Lee is going to be pretty good at one of the safeties. Trice can play --- let me put it this way, we have decent players there but we need more size at the position over time. No one in that secondary brings the fear of God like Buckles or Craig Jones, Knowlton etc... if we could land a QUALITY juco safety with size I would be all over that...especially if he had 3 years.
