How about keeping his job as an incentive? Another year like this one or worse and he'll be gone. Four straight .400 (or less) coaches over the past 19 years makes patience wear thin. Nepotism must overproduce or it's a failure in the eyes of the public.

Which is why I say the best man will win the job. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds. I

I would have easily taken meager this year over our other choices. He would have been better protected and better coached. He was the second fastest player on the team. If he was out there this year, he could have used his speed to gain yards......not run for his life.

I don't think anyone ever questioned his toughness. Although, that is his left hand, so I wouldn't go ahead and give him a pass on this season just because of that.
