You can not expect to have a rational discussion regarding the Texas Longhorns on this board. There are too many that have such penis envy and/or hatred of the Longhorns that it excludes rational thought and unbiased opinion. It's almost as bad as trying to discuss SMU

Who are you refering too? Dont think any has said UT hasnt been down the past couple of years. The thing that surprises me is the success A&M is having after being a career .500 team in the big 12. Does that say more about the SEC or A&M? Thats up for debate.

I think it shows you 2 things. How very very important the QB position is. It also shows how important the offensive scheme change was for A&M. Johnny Football is a great talent who can throw, run, and make good decisions. He is the exact type of dual threat that NT needs to run Chico's system. Not saying we will ever be able to recruit someone on his level but a true dual threat is what will make this offense tick. Hopefully BB can be that guy. Sumlin's offense is fast paced break neck in your face football that does not allow the defense to catch a breath. There is a reason that coaches like Nick Saban complained about it before the season as something that isn't fair and not what we all want football to be. These are the main reasons that the Aggies have made such a dramatic turnaround. As their recruiting picks up they should be able to maintain their current level of play in the SEC. I think it will be tough for UT over the next few years I the recruiting arena with A&M being able to offer recruits SEC football and the national TV exposure that goes along with it. They can tell kids that they will play the best teams on the biggest stage in front of the biggest audiences. UT will also likely be going through a coaching and system change as Mack isn't getting any younger and the Longhorn fans and boosters are growing tired of non-BCS bowls considering the talent on the field.

Or it says more about Sumlin, who many on this board (including myself) thought was a bad match for A&M during their change to the SEC.

We were wrong.
