Heard last evening and confirmed it with Cooper that he is leaving UNT (last day is this Friday) for a new position in Tempe at Arizona State University. It's a nice promotion for Cooper and an indication, to me at least, that folks are taking notice of the good things going on at UNT these days. Seems all the staffers we are losing are going on to "bigger and better" positions (not saying the schools are bigger and better) and are furthering their careers as young staffers do. It seems to be the way to move up, and we all realize that there is some level of "churn" in these positions as these young men and women progress in their careers.

All the best of luck to Cooper as leaves UNT to take over the Sun Devil Club (or whatever they call it at ASU) along with multiple other duties withing their Athletic Department. Fair winds and following seas, Cooper. All the best to you.

Now, get UNT on the ASU schedule. Tempe would be a cool road trip...Cooper...are you listening? :thumbsu:

Cooper, among other things you were a class act while guiding many of us through the unknowns of seat selectiion with the opening of Apogee.

I am happy that you are moving up in collegiate athletic administration but I will miss our occasional visits.

Best of everything to you and your wife as you move to ASU.

Well darnit - I was really looking forward to seeing him get some playing time at tight end next year.

I was quite confused there for a second. I would not have been surprised to see the FB player transfer out, because with Bball and all it has been that kind of a week
